Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Eiben

Beloved wife, Devoted mother

In the company of her beloved family and her dearest of friends, Cindy Eiben returned to her Lord on Thursday May 10, 2018.

Cindy was born in Wickliffe, Ohio, on July 20, 1954, the daughter of Frank and Mary Tamburro.  She graduated from Wickliffe High School in 1972 and went on to court reporting school, where she set a record as the fastest person to meet the standards for graduation.  In 1974, Cindy moved to Erie to begin her career as a court stenographer at the Erie County Courthouse.  It was there that she met her husband, Gary.  She continued to practice her craft until leaving to devote her life to the raising of her children; Christopher, Catherine, and Daniel.

In the quarter of a century that she struggled with her illness, Cindy was buoyed by her love of life and, more than anything else, the love of her family.  She will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, Cindy is survived by her husband of 34 years, Gary Eiben, ESQ., their three children, Christopher Eiben of Pittsburgh, Catherine Sallah and husband Kevin of Hoboken, NJ and Daniel Eiben of Pittsburgh, her siblings; Frank Tamburro and wife Dee of Summit, NJ, Nick Tamburro and wife Gloria of Okatie, SC and Nancy Blanco, also of Okatie, SC, and several nieces and nephews.

The family thanks the nurses and aides who demonstrated such attentive care for Cindy at Fairview Manor.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory, 4216 Sterrettania Road, Erie, PA 16506 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM and at Holy Cross Church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
