Irene Dembski Lubiejewski, 91, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at St. Mary's Home East. She was born April 22, 1927, in Erie, daughter of the late Anthony and Lucyna (Balewski) Dembski.

She retired as a sales clerk from Sears, Roebuck and Co. in 1994. She was a member of St. Stan's polls for many years. She enjoyed baking and polish dishes .
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lubiejewski, five brothers, Sygmunt, Joseph, Alfred, Thaddeus, and Stanley Dembski, one sister, Florence Niedzielski, and a sister-in-law, Theresa Dembski.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen Denslinger (Paul), and a son, Thomas Lubiejewski (Mary Ann), both of Erie, 5 grandchildren, Jonathan Denslinger (Molly) of Pittsburgh, PA, Laura Pastura (Joshua) of Colorado, Dr. Christina Denslinger of Wisconsin, Attorney Elizabeth Ann White (Attorney Austin White), of Williamsport, PA, and Dr. Sarah Lubiejewski (Partner Dr. Paul Waltz) of Pittsburgh, PA. Also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, Krista and Chelsea Denslinger and August White of Williamsport, PA and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call at the Edward J. Garr Funeral Home, Inc., 459 East 12th Street, Erie, PA 16503 on Sunday from 2 to 6 PM. Services will be at the funeral home on Monday, at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass at St. Stanislaus Church at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Please send condolences to

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Irene was a great lady and I enjoyed talking with her on many occasions. She will be greatly missed here at Mercy
