Obituary

John  Zielinski, age 58, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at his home.  He was born in Erie on April 30, 1962 to the late Clarence F.  and Mary L.  (Tyczkowski) Zielinski.
John was a machinist at Modern Industries and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his brother Joseph Zielinski.
John is survived by his son Andrew Merchant and his fiancée Siera Marks, granddaughters Jayden Merchant, Paisley Merchant, and grandson Noah Merchant, all of Erie, brother Thomas Zielinski of Florida, and sisters Dolores Dombknowski, Mary Kress, Antoinette Alexander, Ann Hayes, Colette Vahey, Stephanie Maczamczyk, all of Erie, sister-in-law's Diane Zielinski of Erie, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. 

Following all current Covid-19 guidelines, family and friends may attend the visitation on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Edward J.  Garr Funeral Home, 459 E. 12th St.,  Erie, PA 16503 from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
