Obituary

Kas’ir K.  Gambill, age 13, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.  He was born in Erie on February 28, 2007 to Alliesheia (Gambill) Brown and Danny “Scoop” Nicholson, Jr.
Known as “Nana’s Boy”, Kas’ir enjoyed playing basketball at Erie Rise Charter School wearing jersey #2, attending after school programs at the JFK Center, taking rides, fashion, shopping, singing, music (especially Michael Jackson), fast dancing, and loved his family, especially his sisters.
Kas’ir is preceded in death by his sister Journey Gambill Gilmore, maternal grandfather Allie Porter, Jr., great grandfathers Joe Gambill and Allie Porter, Sr., great grandmothers Dora B.  Jones and Margie Porter, and cousin Jamaine Gamble, Jr.
In addition to his parents, Kas’ir is survived by his sisters Alayah Brown, Avayah McLauren, Aaliyah McLaurin, Shaniya Crosby, brother Isaac Nicholson, maternal grandparents Janice Gambill (Daniel Evans), paternal Grandparents Danny  Nicholson, Sr (Ruth). and Zella Nixon (Paul), aunt Tameka Miller, Godmother Genovia Gambill, close friend Alasia Tate, and his best friends Rhainn Joyce, Jamari Gillmore, and Denali Kirkland, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Following all current Covid-19 guidelines, visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Second Baptist Church, 757 E. 26th St. Erie, PA 16504 from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm.  Family and friends may attend the service virtually via Facebook Live at https://www.facebook.com/Edward-J-Garr-Funeral-Home-Inc-100130284712299

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Erie Rise Charter School, 1006 W. 10th St., Erie, PA 16502 or to the JFK Center, 2021 E. 20th St. Erie, PA 16510.
